Fresh cottage cheese and sour cream with added spring onions cut into tiny pieces is a real treat next to “kulen” or “kulenova seka” sausage. And if you add some ham, salad from vegetables in brine, and plum brandy “šljivovica”, you get a real feast from Slavonia.
100 g (3.50 oz) spring onion
400 g (14 oz) fresh cottage cheese
100 ml (3.40 fl oz) sour cream
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Clean and slice the spring onion. Mix the pressed cottage cheese and sour cream.
Add spring onion, parsley, salt, pepper to the cottage cheese and mix it all well. If desired, add a bit of ground sweet red paprika.
Serve as an appetizer with home-made bread and “kulen” sausage from Slavonia.
